Week 27, 2020

We’ll kick off the final week of June with Algonquin Power & Utilities (AQN). They provide water, electricity and gas to 750,000 customers in twelve states along with equity interests in 35 green energy facilities. Algonquin recently increased their dividend by 10% and the current yield is 4.5%.

Next up is Fulton Financial (FULT), a company we’ve traded several times in the past – each time a winner. Recent numbers are roughly half of what they were a year earlier, but they’re still profitable and the market has adjusted the price accordingly. The yield is 4.8%.

Glatfelter (GLT), a company still in our portfolio from earlier this year, is the pick for Wednesday, July 1. The numbers looked just fine for the first quarter, but of course we don’t know yet how the second quarter was impacted by the pandemic. For now we keep holding. The current dividend yield is 3.5%.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) will close out the week. The pandemic has had little impact on the (very profitable) numbers. We’ve traded this twice before and the current yield is 3.1%.

Friday, July 3 is a market holiday and no dividends are being paid.
